Obituary of Murray Wayne Melton

Melton: Murray, a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully at the Bluewater Health C.E.E. Site, Petrolia, on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at the age of 61. Born in Petrolia, beloved son of Margaret (Hull) Melton and the Late Wayne Melton. Murray had owned and operated Mid-County Ford in Dresden, Oil Springs, and Wallaceburg for over 25 years and had been the General Manager of Advantage Farm Equipment for the past several years. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Dresden and Dresden Jr. Kings, and was very active in his community volunteering his time for many causes. Loving husband and best friend of Karen (Duff) Melton. Loving father of Nicole Melton (Michael Mouissie), Brittany Melton and Erik Melton (Ashley). Proud grandpa of Myles. Dear brother of Susan Dunlop (Scott). Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Lily Duff (Late Ross). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. The Melton family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Friday from 1:00 – 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, November 23, 2024 AT 11:00 AM. Interment Oil Springs Cemetery. Following Interment a Celebration of Murray’s Life  will be held from 1:00 PM- 4:00 PM at the Village of Oil Springs Youth Centre,  4517 Victoria St., Oil Springs (Everyone Welcome).
